Broadcast of Season II of Radio Drama – 'Rope Guna Fal' starts.

The broadcast of the radio drama serial, Rope Guna Fal (you reap what you sow) starts from 20th September 2021 officially. The season 2 of the radio drama is centered on parenting education, child marriage, and the sexual and reproductive health of adolescents. The drama has a running time of 15 minutes.

 Rope Guna Fal will air on Radio Nepal and over 100 local radio stations in Nepal. Apart from that, podcast of RoGF will be available via the Hamro Patro mobile app, Facebook, YouTube, and the website of the Antenna Foundation Nepal. Additionally, mobile subscribers of Nepal Telecom can access the offline listening platform "Suchana ko Sansaar" at any time by dialing the toll-free number 32100. A total of 104 episodes will air twice a week in the second season of the drama.
Sanju Bhattarai, C4D Chief, OIC, Unicef Nepal launched the radio drama during the virtual event on 19th September 2021. During the soft launch Rajan Parajuli, Country Director of Population Media Centre (PMC) talked about the drama methodology, Ananta Ghimire, Project Coordinator of Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) gave a thorough description of the radio drama. Shruti Jha, Product Manager, Viamo Nepal, Buddhi Bahadur KC, Executive Director, Radio Nepal and Govinda Rosyara, Secretary of Broadcasting Association Nepal (BAN), gave their remarks about the partnership. Madhu Acharya, Chairperson, Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) opened the program, and the closing with vote of thanks was done by Binaya Shekhar Guragain, Executive Director, AFN.
The main attraction of the soft launch program was the learning and reflection sharing by the audience about the first season of the radio drama. During the program, a question and answer session was also held on the drama production process, broadcast and partnership. The engaging program was streamed live on Antenna Foundation Nepal's Facebook page and website.
Adolescents and young people between the ages of 13 and 24 as well as parents between the ages of 25 and 45 are the target audience of the drama. In addition, radio drama will be very useful for grandparents, guardians and other caregivers.
Active involvement of parents and caregivers in children's lives, the physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social development of children from pregnancy to 8 years as well as child marriage and sexual and reproductive health of adolescents are the major areas the drama expects to address to bring behavioral change in the community.
