impact

Local community sources such as listener's clubs, local FM partner stations, listeners themselves and quantitative and qualitative researches provide feedback on our program's impact. If the messages are not being understood by the audience or are not achieving the anticipated behaviour shift, we change them. We are responsive and act quickly. Impact evaluations at the end of the program have shown that our programs have generated ideas and tools to use in solving local issues and have positively changed attitudes and behaviours.

End of programs impact evaluations have informed us that we have positively changed underlying attitudes and behaviours:

Local level and younger listeners respond best to our drama series
Others prefer debate and discussion programs
The mix ensures that we maintain a wide reach - 27% of the entire country population listened to Chhinophano on local conflicts and their resolution; 27% listened to radio soap Naya Baato Naya Paila centered on youth and 29% (3) listened to our daily talk show Nepal Chautari.
