As radio producers, Antena is in an ideal position to raise critical social issues among wider audience and also act as advocates and agents of change at the national, community and individual level.

Antenna has three core production teams specializing in Drama Production, Program Production and Doko Mobile Media outreach.

1. The Drama Team synthesizes the high level and local issues into heart-felt drama serials and soap operas which take complex social, cultural and political issues (such as discrimination, conflict, corruption, etc) and relays them in a simple, accessible way. These dramas and soap operas promote behavioural changes through their popular character's role-model behaviours that audience wants to emulate.


2. The Program Production Team conducts an in-depth analysis of topical issues in daily talk-shows with politicians, civic rights leaders and analysts and is broadcasted nationally through its network of 55 FM stations. It encourages participation from the nation wide audience through toll free telephone lines. The team also produces a range of programs and public service announcements (PSA) on specific topics and issues. Both, talk-shows and PSA's, encourages information dissemination from a diverse spectrum of people and opinions.


3. The "Doko mobile media mela" team packs all the production and transmission equipment necessary for a temporary radio station ("Doko radio) and travels to isolated communities in remote Nepal. "Doko team" has already reached more than 25 districts, engaging local communities to produce and broadcast interactive live discussion, local news, interviews and cultural events. It also works with local community radios in building their capacity to sustain positive local impact through production partnership and capacity building activities. The Doko radio often acts as a powerful catalyst for local change; it allows people to communicate and enables them to share their stories and lives.
