Regardless of the program's format, AFN involves local communities throughout the production and broadcast process. We jointly identify the local needs and issues to be addressed such as community conflicts, peace & democracy process, reconciliation and reintegration…– communities tell us their problems and stories.

Each program is the result of in-depth research into the issue to be address to consider its impact at the local level and specific local needs.

Our local broadcast partners, the FM stations, have become production partners giving a local flavour and relevance to the issues.
